Provelio have significant experience in providing heritage strategic project management services. They have worked on listed and historic buildings, with extensive knowledge of the pressures of being the custodian of a listed building as well as working on them. Our projects have ranged from initial feasibility studies for the change of use of buildings, to refurbishments of landmark heritage buildings.
Heritage Lottery Funded redevelopment of a 17th century brewery to house the collections of the Cornwall Record Office, the Cornish Studies Library and Cornwall and Scilly Historic Environment Record. The converted Grade 2 building includes public study areas, museum display areas and a highly technical archive storage facility.
The refurbishmment of Cleveland Pool in Bath to restore the Grade II* listed, outdoor, Georgian era swimming pool back to its functional state. The project includes the restoration and refurbishment of a 25-metre swimming pool, children’s splash area, pavilion and cafe.
Combe Down Stone Mine
Bath and North East Somerset Council required the stabilisation of the land on which 700 homes sit. The stabilisation of the underground mines was achieved through filling the mine shafts with foamed concrete. Due to the nature of the project, extensive stakeholder engagement was required with planning offices, housing associations and English Heritage.
St Johns Hall
The refurbishment of a Grade II listed Cornwall Council building within the centre of Penzance. The new facility houses a relocated library, a new adult education facility, one stop shop, registrars office and Council office space for 170 Council staff.
