The Worthing Railway Approach is a programme of Public Realm Improvement works to upgrade Worthing Railway Station. The programme is key to improving the environment surrounding the station and to improve connecting pathways.

Provelio were appointed as Project Managers for the refurbishment of the stations public realm from RIBA Stages 3 – 7. The scope of the project includes:

  • Revised pavements and kerb lines to improve pedestrian circulation at the front of the station.
  • Amendments to the existing footway stone materials and replacement of older materials to make a new “matching” footway.
  • Relocation of the taxi, bus and drop-off/pick-up areas.
  • Road resurfacing works.
  • New street lighting and CCTV provision to make the area safer for the public.
