Truro Eastern Park and Ride
The Truro Park and Ride project was a strategic initiative aimed at reducing congestion and improving journey times in Truro town center. With a project value of £18.5M, the development included the construction of a terminus hub, ticket office, 1300 parking spaces, and upgrades to road junctions, along with pedestrian and cycle access enhancements.
The project presented unique challenges, including the need to minimize disruption to the town’s daily activities while adhering to the Design and Build procurement type under the NEC3 contract. Provelio’s solution was a comprehensive approach that involved close collaboration with stakeholders, including Cornwall Council, to ensure the project’s success. The team’s expertise in project control work and their experience with similar schemes were instrumental in driving and enhancing efficiencies in working practices and procurement.
The Truro Park and Ride facility has significantly improved the travel experience for residents and visitors, offering a reliable and efficient transportation alternative. The project’s success is a reflection of Provelio’s commitment to delivering sustainable and community-focused infrastructure solutions.
