Accolade Wines identified selected warehouse activities including installation of fully automated fork-lift trucks to improve the automation system of their warehouse in order to reduce warehouse costs and operational times.
Provelio were appointed as Project Managers for the design, procurement, and implementation of automation for selected manual forklift activities. This included the following:
– Supply and integration of 26 no. autonomous trucks from Toyota
– Software design, testing and integration required for autonomous trucks
– Upgrade and integration of JDA Red Prairie software
– Upgraded battery changing area
– Software support identification and integration
– Installation of new de-stacker at start of bottling line
– Installation of new bare code scanner around de-stacker
– Upgrade existing glass shuttle system
– Re-configuration of goods out areas including changes to floor layout and marking
The works were completed in 3 Phases:
Phase 1 and 2 – Glass to shuttle, glass to lines, packaging to lines, bought in case to pick and drop, finished goods to pick and drop
Phase 3 – Finished goods to marshalling and re-configuration or goods out area.
