The Cost of RAF 22 Group Training

Developed an innovative costing methodology to support the creation of an enterprise costing tool, capturing the full pan DLOD cost of 22 Group delivered individual training outputs. The process involved collating data across multiple systems, then cleansing and transforming them into a consistent format.

When conducting this process, the analysts ensured there was an understanding of all the relationships within the data sets. This included creating new taxonomies to create links in the datasets and using methods such as flow charts to visualise the way in which the data needs to flow through the costing model.

Data simulation and sampling techniques were used to determine the estimation risk and clearly highlight confidence levels to the client so appropriate decisions could be made when using the outputs from the model.

Using a series of data visualisation tools Provelio created a series of interactive and user-friendly dashboards to help clients efficiently and effectively understand the significance of their data, create new insights and generate compelling insights in their organisation.

The enterprise costing tool is now embedded within the organisation and will enable the client to track future transformation changes, manage their annual budget cycle and identify opportunities for efficiency in their training pipeline. Having demonstrated its viability, the Provelio costing framework and modelling approach has now been adopted by the wider RAF.
