New Pharmacy

Client: Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust
Sector: Health
Service: Programme and Project Management
Value: £5M

The Trust’s former Pharmacy facility was not fit for purpose, with the aseptic suite being inoperable. Provelio therefore worked with the Trust to prepare the business case for the redevelopment of the pharmacy building within the wider RUH North redevelopment. This required a review of the RUH strategy for pharmacy services and the Outline Business Case for the modernisation of pathology and pharmacy services.

As a result of the business case, the recommended option for a new build was progressed further by the Trust, and Provelio were appointed to manage the construction project. This involved the relocation of the pharmacy adjacent to the main wards, providing greater functional efficiency, and the development of a new car park located adjacent to the pharmacy’s entrance. The overall project was valued at £5m.

The project was delivered under the P21 procurement route using an NEC Option C form of contract.
