Project Managers appointed to manage the construction of a new £6.5M theatre complex. The modular building included 2 operating theatres, recovery room, anaesthetic room, layout and prep room and scrubs recess. The design challenge was to link this new accommodation into an existing maternity area within the hospital. The building included a theatre control panel, nursecall and medical gases. The theatre was fully compliant to all relevant HTM and HBN’s.
To promote value for money, quality and savings for the Trust, Provelio undertook a feasibility study that considered both a traditional and modular approach. Although the Trust were not familiar with modular buildings, the Provelio team presented and explained the benefits of this approach. This was a technically complex project delivered on time and budget.
The Modular procurement option generated an 8-month programme saving.
