The Energy Safety Research Institute (ESRI) was a £20M new build project built in collaboration with BP. ESRI’s aim is to focus on the safety aspects within energy research including the long term strengths in petroleum and chemical processing in relation to computation science and corrosion, the development of existing energy processes and the safe deployment and integration of new green technologies.
Provelio have been appointed by the University to deliver this new facility to form a key part of the University’s new Bay Campus. The new buildings facilities will include:

  • Workshops
  • Research Laboratories
  • Teaching Space
  • ICT Provisions
  • Staff Offices
  • Conference and Meeting Rooms

The project was part funded by the UK Research Partnership Investment Fund (UKRPIF) and required intensive stakeholder engagement throughout the duration of the project.
