Marina Gardens

Client: Pegasus Homes
Sector: Residential
Service: Programme and Project Management
Value: £24M

Marina Gardens was a new build, later-living, residential development consisting of 126 luxury apartments across 4 and 5 storey blocks. The full development also contained a commercial restaurant, residents lounge, residents game room, gym, therapy area, swimming pool, sauna and steam room, managers office, BoH, buggy stores, bin stores, external terraces and landscaping and an undercroft car park.

Provelio were appointed as Employers Agent for RIBA stages 2 -7.

The development was situated within the old docks area of Portishead, and as such it was severely contaminated. This required extensive H&S procedures that were implemented during the removal process. All of the verification and certification requirements were managed onsite.

As this was a considerable sized development there were many trades onsite simultaneously. Programme and building sequencing managed to ensure follow on trades were not impeded (i.e. kitchen fitters). The site was also highly exposed due to the location and size, and as such key third party and neighbour communication lines were set up including newsletters and dedicated call lines for public queries.

There was an implementation of QA documentation to ensure all work packages were signed off (both sub-structure and superstructure) prior to closing/boarding up and in-line with hold point programme.
