Provelio provided programme and project management services to upgrade the University’s heating infrastructure across an entire campus. This included the delivery of a new Energy Centre with combined heat and power plant, together with LTHW district heating network, including the demolition of the old boiler house and strip of the old steam mains. The University’s new energy system provides heat and power to 13 buildings across its Whiteknights campus, all of which is controlled and created from one energy centre. The vision of the University was to provide a system that would reduce energy costs, produce energy in a more sustainable manner and provide whole life value in relation to maintenance and life span.
