Medicine Packing Unit
Provelio were appointed as Project Managers for the refurbishment of a Medicines Packaging Unit for London Ambulance Service. The build out delivered a facility that met stringent home office guidance for the receipt, storage, packaged and onwards distribution of controlled drugs. The new facility is world class and has enabled benefits realisation up to two years ahead of schedule.
The Medicines Packing Unit had to be created within an existing industrial unit, which involved building an internal mezzanine floor with offices, packing areas, etc. It was imperative that the facility was designed to comply with government regulations and security requirements.
We were responsible for effectiving managing the design team on an extremely tight programme and budget, suporrting the client with an expedited procurement process and managing the contractor during construction. The construction phase of the project commenced with the installation of a steel frame into an existing warehouse to generate a first-floor space.
In addition to the responsibilities above, we managed the liaison between various stakeholder including the client teams, landlord’s agent and statutory authorities, and supported the relocation of staff from the existing site to the new site.
