Provelio were appointed as a team to project manage the phased delivery of a number of MEIG capital projects for Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. The projects have been occurring across the NHS estate, including both St Thomas Hospital and Guys Hospital. The various projects have included the removal and installation of new state of the art equipment, ventilation upgrades (included installation of new AHU / supply and extract ductwork / rebalancing of the current system) and refurbishment works to existing imaging equipment rooms.

The programme has included the following projects:

  • Replacement of an Endourology scanner, including removal of all the old kit, enabling works, new AHU installation and commissioning of the new kits.
  • Refurbishment of an existing x-ray room at the Central London based hospital. The project involves replacing the existing imaging equipment, undertaking repairs to defective lead screening and refurbishment and decoration of the room.
  • Replacement of a 10-year-old CT scanner with a new state of the art CT scanner. The project involved managing the removal of the existing imaging equipment, refurbishing the room in which the equipment was housed and undertaking M&E upgrades to the mechanical ventilation of the room to accommodate the new scanner.
  • Replacement of existing, ceiling mounting imaging equipment within Theatre Room 15. The project involves managing the removal of the existing equipment and the installation of the new systems.
  • Replacement of the existing Fluroscopy imaging equipment with new, state of the art equipment. The room housing the equipment is also receiving a small refurbishment and upgrades to ensure it meets compliance and standards requirements.
