Brunel Building

Provelio has provided project management services to SGS College for nearly 20 years, including back before their merger when they were known as Filton College. Over that time, Provelio have project management a variety of new builds, refurbishments and extensions, on various campuses. This has included a £17M valued WISE campus new build, the £3.5M refurbishment and extension for additional classrooms at the WISE campus, a £2M refurbishment of a cyber security training centre at their Berkeley campus and further supporting projects.

The Brunel Centre is a three-story, £9.4M new build at SGS Wise Campus which houses I.T labs, a human performance lab, and computer gaming suite along with a number of digital classrooms. The building is circa 2500m² and was built using cross laminated timber to promote the college’s sustainability agenda and to put user wellbeing at the forefront of the design choices. The building achieved an equivalency of BREEAM Excellent rating.

Provelio were appointed as Project Managers from RIBA Stage 1 to 7. We undertook the role throughout the pre-construction and construction period, bringing an intrinsic knowledge of SGS and the estates requirements to help mould the project into one which provides the ideal learning space.
